Wage Standards Division Receives Letter of Appreciation From USDOL

 

WSD appreciation letter from USDOLThe Wage Standards Division (WSD) received a Letter of Appreciation from George Friday, Jr., Regional Administrator of the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Employment Standards Administration, to acknowledge the WSD's contributions to the overall mission of the USDOL's Wage and Hour Division within the Hawaii community. The letter was presented on July 6, 2005 at a meeting between the Wage Standards Division, Research and Statistics Office, and the USDOL. Terrence J. Trotter, Assistant District Director for Hawaii, and his staff also attended the meeting, which covered the leveraging of limited resources for the joint enforcement and education of employers and employees on federal and state laws concerning child labor, wages and hours, and prevailing wages. The group reaffirmed its commitment to federal-state cooperation and will continue to partner on training, outreach, and enforcement activities, as well as dialogue on common issues.
