A demonstration of the EvacPack, a high-tech tool developed by the RESCUE team. The pack allows the user to send and receive up-to-the-minute information during a disaster response, including video, audio and text-based data. First responders had input into the design of the EvacPack.

RESCUE researchers observe first responders during an emergency response drill in California. By observing how first responders conduct their missions, researchers can better understand how disaster responses unfold and look for opportunities to contribute new tools or practices.
