248 15th Street, Tell City, IN 47586. Electronic comments may be sent
to: r9_hoosier_website@fs.fed.us. Please include the following
information when providing comments:
In the subject line, title of the document or project
on which the comment is being submitted
Your name, address, telephone number, organization
represented, and title.
Specific concerns and facts, and supporting reasons
regarding your comments.
For proposed actions being documented in an EA or an appealable Decision
Memo, the opportunity to comment ends 30 days after publication of the legal
notice in the newspaper of record. For decisions documented in an EIS the
comment period ends 45 days following publication of a notice of
availability in the Federal Register. Only
those submitting timely comments will be eligible to appeal.
Comments received in response to a solicitation for any project,
including names and addresses of those who comment, will be considered part
of the public record on the proposed action and will be available for public
inspection. Comments submitted anonymously will be accepted and considered;
however, those who submit anonymous comments may not have standing to appeal
the subsequent decision under 36 CFR Part 215.

and analyses.
In December 2007, the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) posted a
publication on the web titled: Citizen's Guide To NEPA - Having Your
Voice Heard . This document is designed specifically to help interested
persons better understand NEPA. The document can be printed/downloaded from:
