CCR Changes: Early on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Update, Search, Extract, and CCRXML modules will be updated to their latest releases. This release includes the addition of elements to CCR to collect Disaster Relief Registry entries. Both CCRXML and the BPN format CCR extracts will have new versions. The prior versions of each of these outputs will still be available until the end of 2008.

Increase in Small Business Size Standards - The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will increase all revenue based small business size standards on August 18, 2008. These size standards will be adjusted 8.7% for inflation and will be incorporated into CCR and the DSBS simultaneously. The size standards will not automatically be incorporated into ORCA profiles. A registrant must update their ORCA profile after August 18, 2008, in order for the adjusted size standards to appear in their ORCA profile. CCR Change Notice: On October 1, 2007 the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (including the Federal Agency Registration - FedReg) was updated to use the 2007 series of NAICS codes replacing the 2002 series currently in use.

Validation of Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) in CCR
On October 30, 2005, the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) began validating the Taxpayer Identification Number and Taxpayer Name of each new and updating CCR registrant with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) records.
