About the Inventory

The Inventory of Qualitative Research site provides a catalog of qualitative research that has been conducted in nutrition and physical activity dating back to 1997. It is not a comprehensive list of all of the qualitative research that has been done in physical activity, nutrition, or related fields. We suspect that these entries represent a small number of the qualitative studies that have actually been conducted in these fields. The CDC called for a submission of research to the inventory through various agencies and entries. Entries were made on a volunteer basis. It is our hope that this database will facilitate the sharing of more studies.
