The Washington Operations Staff has the following principal responsibilities:
- Facilitating communication and information flow on program and policy issues between Washington headquarters offices and OAQPS;
- Tracking and ensuring OAQPS policy, regulatory, and other key packages proceed through the review and signature process in a timely fashion;
- Serving as OAQPS representatives when necessary in meetings and discussions in Washington with officials from EPA headquarters, other Federal agencies, industry, and state, national, and international organizations; and;
- Monitoring and analyzing Agency activities which affect OAQPS programs and policies.
