Description:

The Small Business Development Center Human Capital Program is a specialty center for the University of Texas at San Antonio's Institute of Economic. The Human Capital Program provides research, training and consultation for Small businesses on a wide range of human resource issues including:

  • Drug Free Workplace - policy development, supervisor and employee training, bilingual online policy resource information
  • Employment Issues - policies and procedures, hiring and rightful termination, unemployment rate reduction techniques, performance development, workforce development, harassment, violence and security in the workplace
  • Safety Issues - bilingual supervisor and employee training, safety plan development, audits
  • Workers Compensation Training and Information
  • Customized training

The Human Capital Program provides a holistic approach to creating a safe, fair and legal work environment for employees, supervisors and managers/owners of small businesses.
