State: Nebraska

Description: STATE OF NEBRASKA Businesses having contracts with the State of Nebraska are required to have a workplace substance abuse program. Four regional councils serve as information clearinghouses and offer technical assistance on policy development and employee awareness training. These councils are private, non-profit organizations funded by federal and State dollars administered by the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse in the Nebraska Department of Public Institutions, which funds more than seventy-five community treatment centers to assist troubled individuals.
