For September 16 (for Southeast Minnesota, Northeast Iowa, and Western Wisconsin)- In 1962, an F4 tornado leveled four homes and destroyed seven others 4 miles southeast of Rochester, MN during the early morning. Damage estimates were $200,000 and it injured 34 people. Also, on this date, an F2 tornado moved from 2 miles west of Pleasant Grove, MN to 2 miles north northeast of Pleasant Grove. Five barns were destroyed and two homes damaged from this northeast moving tornado. Blair, WI (5.26") rain.

- In 1906, Grand Meadow, MN (3.63") rain.
