In the 110th Congress, I have once again been selected to serve on committees important to Pennsylvania. The two committees are the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Armed Services Committee. The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee oversees our nation’s highways, airports, bridges, railroads, dams and ports. This Congress, I have the honor of serving as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management. In addition, I continue to serve on two Subcommittees: Highways, Transit and Pipelines and Water Resources and Environment.
I have also been selected to serve on the Armed Services Committee. This committee's primary responsibility is the protection of the American people, and it has jurisdiction over matters relating to the modernization of the military and national security. I will be serving on the Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces as well as the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities. These subcommittees have a variety of jurisdiction, including certain acquisition programs, Naval aviation programs and the National Guard.
In addition, I am a member of the following House of Representatives Caucuses:
