Carriers know they are getting a qualified tractor or trailer by looking for the special certification mark affixed on the inside of the tractor cab or trailer.

Equipment manufacturers have developed unique specification sheets detailing equipment requirements and options for placing an order for a US EPA Certified SmartWay tractor or trailer.

US EPA SmartWay Certified Tractors can be ordered through the following manufacturers:

US EPA Certified SmartWay Trailers can be ordered directly from the following manufacturers and their dealers:

• Hyundai Translead

Many trailer dealers will sell upgraded trailers that have been certified SmartWay. Contact your local trailer dealer to see if it offers new and retrofit equipment that meets SmartWay specifications.
