Welcome to the Prescott National Forest newsroom.

News releases are timely information sent to the news media as a means of reaching the public about agency announcements, activities and programs. The Prescott National Forest Public Affairs Officer works with agency personnel and others to prepare these short news releases. The Forest goals are to provide reporters and the public with important, interesting, timely and accurate information that is news worthy.

As you will see these press releases are categorized by calendar years with the most recent at the top of the list.

Forest Orders are also available. Occasionally areas of the forest need closed for public safety. Generally a News Release will be published when an order become active. Not all active orders are posted here as this is a new area of our web site that were are going to add to as new orders are created.
