North Conway, New Hampshire……The DEA New England Field Division received 22 New England Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Awards.

Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge of the New England Field Division, announced today that the DEA New England Field Division received 22 Organized Crime Drug Task Force awards of the 26 awarded. SAC Trouville, who delivered the keynote address at the ceremony, recognized the tireless efforts of the Special Agents and Task Force Officers who received the awards and reinforced the value of the OCDETF program.

"The OCDETF program brings together not only the best and brightest agents and officers but the most gifted prosecutors," said DEA Special Agent in Charge Trouville. "Many of these investigations are cutting edge involving the newest investigative techniques and we anticipate continued success in partnership with OCDETF."

Last year, under the OCDETF program, organizations were targeted that distributed marijuana, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and ecstasy. These investigations had an immediate local and international impact. Assets over $8.8 million dollars were identified through OCDETF. Coupled with the Fiscal Year 2001 figures, over $16.9 million dollars in assets were seized. The DEA New England Field Division will continue to work with our OCDETF partners and aggressively pursue these criminal organizations.
