Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed for tasks such as ticket and museum sales, restoration work, computer logging of artifacts and property maintenance. Individuals may work as little as a few hours a week or for several days a week. Assistance is needed particularly on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Tallac Historic Site contains three wonderful summer homes built by millionaires in the early part of the last century. They are set in the midst of one of the rare stretches of old-growth forest that has never been logged. The homes, owned and managed by the US Forest Service, are being restored with volunteers doing the work.

A great deal of what makes the Tallac Site so special is the volunteer effort. Volunteers are from many different places and are interested in many different things.  We have something for everyone. Some projects are simple and others take special skills. We need workers, materials, artifacts, pictures, donations, dollars, and knowledge. Where do you fit in?

For more information, please contact the Baldwin Museum at (530) 541-5227.

Many of the projects are on-going, such as the restoration of grounds and buildings. The Tahoe Heritage Foundation is bringing new hope for old Tahoe sites.

Come learn how you can help make this dream come true. More information is available in the Baldwin Museum or call (530)-541-5227. You can also visit the Tahoe Heritage Foundation web site at the following web address:
