Description
The Division of Adult and Community Health (DACH) strives to improve health promotion and disease prevention efforts by focusing on high-priority public health issues which include aging, arthritis, cardiovascular health, and epilepsy. DACH is also concentrating on quality of care and end-of-life communications issues for older Americans and will soon study Alzheimer's disease. DACH oversees the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), the world’s largest telephone survey that tracks health risks in the United States, and also tracks health-related quality of life in different populations to help guide policies or interventions that improve the health of the American people.
