The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is pleased
to have this important interaction with the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC). The Cooperative Agreement (CA) was
established in fall 2000 as a partnership between the CDC and the
AAMC. This agreement emphasizes the importance of improved and increased
collaborations between public health and medicine. It will facilitate
a wide range of activities. There are two major categories of collaborative
activities between the AAMC, its members, and the CDC.
The AAMC activities include:
- Developing and carrying out AAMC-based "in-house"
projects and traineeships.
- Enhancing AAMC members' understanding of the CDC and its priorities.
CDC Cooperative
Agreements
This Web site was developed in collaboration with the Association
of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) and the Association for Preventive
Teaching and Research (APTR).
Extramural Funding
Provides a detailed listing of all the projects that have received
funding through the AAMC-CDC Cooperative Agreement.
AAMC-Based Projects
A listing of the AAMC's CDC-related in-house projects.
AAMC-CDC Medical Student Training Program
This program is currently not active.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's 2009 extramural
funding cycle is now closed. Funding decisions will be announced
in the fall. To find out the status of a grant application that
