 New Employee Orientation
Welcome to the Online New Employee Orientation Program (NEOP)
Welcome to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) online orientation for new employees. The fact that you have visited this site tells us that you are interested in joining us or you have already made the decision to be a part of FSIS. Although we have a workforce of over 9,000 employees located throughout the Nation, we work in close concert with each other to accomplish a variety of tasks in support of our Agency's public health mission.

One of the most common complaints about new employee orientation is that it is overwhelming. The new employee –coming into a new environment, meeting new people, not really sure what the new job entails–is bombarded with a host of information and then is sent off to the new duty station.

This online orientation is designed to extend beyond a one or two-day event. It will be conducted in phases that provide "just-in-time" information to answer any questions you may have about being a Federal employee.

If you are thinking about becoming a Federal employee, feel free to browse our Web pages. If you've already decided to join us we would like to officially welcome you as a member of our team.
