Working in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services,
the Environmental Protection Agency,
other USDA agencies and
State and local governments,
FSIS is building a seamless and science-based national system to ensure food safety from farm-to-table.
Due to stronger coordination among government food safety agencies and focus on a science-based system, the Food Safety
and Inspection Service is poised to make tremendous progress in dramatically improving food safety both here and abroad.
