(June 10, 2008) Washington, D.C. – Representatives from the Vernon-based Baker Commodities, Inc. in Los Angeles thanked Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) for her support of biofuel issues. The rendering plant is a food by-product recycling company that makes animal feed supplements and biofuels. With more than 600 employees, the company is one of the nation's largest rendering companies. The company's employees live throughout the congresswoman's district, including Huntington Park, Vernon, Boyle Heights and Bell Gardens.
