(May 9, 2008) Olvera Street, Downtown, Los Angeles – Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard welcomed guests and community leaders to the 34th Congressional District at a recent luncheon at Las Anitas restaurant at Olvera Street. The group included the congresswoman’s House colleagues, Congresswoman Hilda Solis and Congressman Alcee L. Hastings. The luncheon was followed by a tour of Olvera Street – the birthplace of the City of Los Angeles and El Pueblo Historic Monument near Downtown Los Angeles.
