(January 25, 2008) Downey, CA – Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) congratulates Downey Chamber of Commerce President Jaime Garcia of Kaiser Permanente on the chamber's 105th Anniversary at a luncheon held at the Embassy Suites on Firestone Blvd. The congresswoman presented the chamber with a certificate of recognition which read "in honor of your 105 years of outstanding commitment and dedicated service to improving the business community and the quality of life in the City of Downey." The congresswoman also recognized the chamber’s longstanding members who were also being honored for their membership at the luncheon, including the Downey Regional Medical Center, which has been a member of the chamber for 65 years.
