Air Emissions from Mobile Sources

The mobile source programs include, vehicle inspection and maintenance, engine fuels programs, clean fuel fleets, Stage II gasoline vapor recovery, and the use mobile source emission factor modeling for air quality planning. In many cases, these programs are part of the State Implementation Plan for which the Region has approved a State regulation associated with the program.

The Air Planning Section is also responsible for answering public inquiries on a variety of mobile source related questions. Mobile source inquiries normally include vehicle tampering, imports, emissions warranty, fuel economy, inspection and maintenance, fuels, and other questions relating to cars and emissions.
