Location

Florida Campground is on the north end of Lemon Reservoir, four miles north of Miller Creek Campground. Private property adjoins the campground on the south side; please do not trespass.

Directions from Bayfield: travel 9.0 miles north on County Road #501, then 3.0 miles northwest on County Road #240, and finally 6.0 miles north on County Road #243 to the campground entrance.

Facilities

Large groups can reserve the Florida Group Area, just beyond the regular camping area, which accommodates up to 100 people. The group area has six double tables, a buffet table, and four fire grates. RV parking is limited.

This is a low-use campground. Colorado blue spruce, Douglas-fir, and aspen dominate the area. Tent campers can find some well-shaded spots near the river.

Attractions & Considerations

Host on site. Potable water in season, trash pickup in season, vault toilets, tables, fireplaces (firewood available, you gather).

After Labor Day, campground host is no longer on duty and camping fees are deposited in fee tubes. Toilets will remain open. If sites have water and trash service they are full price. otherwise they are half price.
