A pedestrian tunnel allows easy access from the public parking lot to the facilities and beach at Smith Point County Park.
Smith Point County Park is located on the eastern end of Fire Island National Seashore. The park is accessible by car via the William Floyd Parkway. There is a parking lot there (fee charged) and parking is available to reach the Otis Pike Fire Island High Dune Wilderness.

The park has its own website under the Suffolk County Parks Department.
