Albuquerque
Public Schools in New Mexico receives funding from CDC’s Division of
Adolescent and School Health to implement an asthma management program. The
goals of Albuquerque’s asthma management program include reducing
absenteeism among students with asthma, improving asthma management of
students while in school, establishing and maintaining asthma-friendly
schools, improving asthma management behaviors of all school staff, ensuring
that students have access to health care, and ensuring that students with
asthma have an identified primary care provider.
