Accessible Recreation Opportunities

[Image] Accessible Fishing Platform at the Hat Creek Campground Lassen National Forest offers a number of recreation facilities designed with accessibility in mind for persons with disabilities. Accessible fishing piers, paved trails, specially designed campsites, and accessible picnic tables are all available. The following is a list of accessible areas with links to more information about the area. Golden Access Passports

A lifetime pass available to citizens or permanent residents of the United States who have been medically determined to be blind or permanently disabled for purposes of receiving Federal benefits. In addition to an annual entrance pass, the Golden Access cardholders will continue to receive a 50% fee discount at campgrounds, developed boat launches and swimming sites and for specialized interpretive services. The pass is free.

ALMANOR RECREATION TRAIL
Almanor Ranger District, Hwy. 89, 5 miles South of Chester, CA.

April to November

Ten mile long, paved trail. Non-motorized; No horses.  Bicycles, Hiking, Cross-country skiing offered in winter.  Very scenic.

Operated by Caltrans, Hwy. 44, 25 miles West of Susanville, CA.
