My dearest maintainer of the home front --
At this moment I visualize you at home, listening to Jack Benny on the radio (while I sit in our social room & ^also hear Jack & Groucho Marx hold forth) and I can hear you laugh right thru [sic] the same radio. Or is that just mental telepathy?
I thought often of home this listless Sunday afternoon, especially when I sprawled out on the lone couch & tried to read, only to doze off every now & then. Is my energy also becoming sapped--or is my languidity just due to my absence from my source of strength & energy--you & Rema? Or, in blunt every-day language, is it simply old age?
Anyway, I thought of you--and the sofa at home--also of another sofa in another home some 6 or 7 years ago. And your inability to stay awake while stretched out on the sofa--except of course, when I'm seated at one end of it, too!!
