Forest visitors will find snow pack at elevations 5,000 feet and higher. All snow park areas in the Sierra National
Forests, along Highway 168 above Shaver Lake, or along Highway 41 near Yosemite National Park, are open for use.
Sno-Park Permits are required for parking in a Sno-Park area from November 1st through May 30th. Permits are $5.00
per day or $25.00 per season. For additional information about skiing, snowmobiling, and snow play opportunities, or
for a list of Sno-park vendors, contact your local Sierra National Forest office or visit the Sierra National Forest
website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sierra/recreation/wintersports/index.shtml.
