Transportation Report 2007

    About the Transportation Report

The Eurasia-wide Transportation Report 2007 is a part of the LOGISTICS OF EXPORTING TO EURASIA SERIES (previous reports in this series include: Customs Report 2004 and Certification Report 2005). It includes Transportation sector overviews prepared by BISNIS representatives in 8 countries: Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan; and in 6 regions of the Russian Federation: Northwest Russia, Upper Volga, Southern Russia, Urals, Siberia and Russian Far East.

The goal of each of these reports is to provide a U.S. exporter and/or investor with general understanding of the transportation infrastructure, available services, local market players, potential export/investment opportunities and useful contacts.

Up until now, whether looking for information concerning transportation logistics and available resources, assessing local transport infrastructure, seeking local partners or doing comparative analysis of several NIS markets, a U.S. company had to either rely upon sparse and oftentimes outdated data from random sources or acquire this information at significant costs.

As the topics covered in each of the reports are quite diverse, the scope of materials presented varies from market-to-market, based on the relevance of each of these topics in a given economy. In case a reader requires further information and/or has follow-up questions, we suggest addressing such inquiries to one of the BISNIS trade specialists covering the respective country/region.
