Description
The Asian and Pacific Islander Tobacco Education Network (APITEN) was formed in 1990 with the mission to organize individuals and organizations to advocate for tobacco-free Asian and Pacific Islander communities. The Network strives to counteract the factors that contribute to high smoking levels through activities that include: training and technical assistance; information collection and dissemination; policy and research; campaign for tobacco free policies; and developing and implementing regional advocacy campaigns.
