Aeroflot is the country's largest airline company that makes 60 per cent of all international regular flights to 66 destinations in 49 countries worldwide and over 11per cent in the home market, including 8 CIS countries on 9 regular flights, 25 destinations in Europe on 35 regular flights, 6 - in America and Canada, 13 countries on 16 regular flights in South-Eastern Asia, Africa, the Near and Middle East. According to RAP net income amounted to 3 978 million rubles in 2003.In 2003 Aeroflot transported 5.9 million passengers. There are 92 airliners in its fleet. Its Headquarter is located in Moscow in Sheremetyevo Airport. It is going to build its own terminal Sheremetyevo–3 by 2007.

Open joint-stock company “Domodedovo Airlines” was created in January 1998 on the base of restructured state-own Domodedovo airport. Vologda Air Company

Vologda Air Company (VAC) has its main office at the Vologda airport (Airport, Vologda 160015, Russia) and branches that are not legal entities in the airports of Veliky Ustug, Nikolsk, Kich-Gorodok, Vytegra, Totma, Nuksenitsa, and Belozersk. VAC manages the federal property. The state monitoring of the company is implemented by the Russian Federal Aviation Department through the North-West Regional Board, St. Petersburg. All the airports have weather forecast divisions, staff and equipment for air traffic control. A branch of North-West Aircontrol state company, St. Petersburg, implements air traffic control at the Vologda airport. All the airports have certified staff for rendering flights of aircraft. They are equipped with airfield preparation vehicles, fuel and lubricant filling stations, parking lots and passenger catering facilities, and with air safety systems. The company has licenses of Federal Aviation Service of Russia
