Title: | Approval of Collection of Information Requirements, final rule on Occupational Exposure to Asbestos |
Abstract:
On 6/20/86, OSHA published revised standards governing occupational exposure to asbestos, tremolite, anthophyllite and actinolite in general industry and construction (51 FR 22612). A U.S. Court of Appeals for the upheld the standard in most respects but remanded the case to OSHA on several issues. OSHA published a partial response to the court''s remand (on 2/5/90) including promulgating several new regulatory provisions. The Agency sought OMB clearance on certain information gathering provisions contained in the 2/5/90 response. The information requirements (contained in 29 CFR 1910.1001 (j)(5)(iv)(C) and 1926.58 (k)(4)(iii)) have received OMB clearance until 4/30/93. Contact: James Foster, (202)523-8151. |
