Description
The North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS) was established to promote vegetarianism and provide a support network for vegetarians, and those interested. The NAVS conducts educational programs in advocacy of vegetarianism, consults with interested organizations, organizes regional and national congresses, informs the public on vegetarian issues, helps to establish local groups, and publishes information on vegetarianism. In addition, the NAVS promotes international vegetarian conferences.
Print Resources
Publications include a news magazine, a vegetarian cookbook, and a number of booklets and flyers on various related topics. Serial publication: Vegetarian Voice (magazine), quarterly--feature articles, reports on activities, and organizational news.
