    McIntyre Visits Pakistan to Assess the War on Terrorism


    Washington, D.C. - Shown above is US Rep Mike McIntyre (on right) with the US delegation who met with both the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to assess progress in the War on Terrorism.

    Rep McIntyre was one of five Members of Congress who discussed Pakistan's efforts against the Taliban and Al Qaeda along the Pakistani-Afghanistan border.

    In separate meetings with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, both leaders emphasized Pakistan's responsibilities with the US and the critical need for cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan has been an ally of the US against terrorism.

    Rep McIntyre is a senior member of the Armed Forces Subcommittee on Terrorism.
