    Robeson County Pastor To Deliver Opening Prayer in U.S. House; McIntyre to Speak at National Day of Prayer Ceremony

    Washington, D.C. - Congressman Mike McIntyre announced today two events in which he will be participating during the National Day of Prayer which is this Thursday, May 1st.

     

    The Reverend Gary Strickland, Pastor at Kingdom Place Church in Robeson County will deliver the opening prayer in the U.S. House of Representatives.  Interested viewers should tune into C-Span at 10:00 a.m. to see Reverend Strickland deliver the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and McIntyre’s  introduction of Reverend Strickland.

           McIntyre will also speak on behalf of the U.S. Congress Thursday about the “Power of Prayer” to citizens from all across the United States who have gathered at the U.S. Capitol to celebrate the National Day of Prayer.
