    McIntyre Announces $2,127,000 for Sampson County Water Wells

    Washington, D.C. –  U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that Sampson County has received $2,127,000 to construct new water supply wells.

    Congressman McIntyre stated, “Good quality water is vital to everyday life, and these federal funds will help bring better service to Sampson County residents.  Congratulations to all who have worked to receive these funds, and it is good to see our taxpayer dollars coming home to make a difference!”

    The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has awarded a loan of $1,292,000 and a grant of $835,000.  Construction will include three of four new water supply wells, well houses, including building, well head pump, electrical, valves, controls, fencing, related appurtenances and approximately 11,500 linear feet of water transmission lines. 

     Congressman McIntyre is Chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Rural Development.
