Dawn's sharing of her metacognitive thinking is such a good example of how EFF is appropriate for everyone, not just our ABE/ABLE students. It reinforces EFF as a model of adult learning, no matter how educated that adult already is. Sharing how we
use EFF in our everyday lives with our students adds credibility to both the model and our students' efforts.
Ohio has recently held a Meet Your Legislators Day. Many of us who participated went through a similar process as Dawn and learned a lot about how to make political activism a reality. We all need to share what we learned with our students.
Thank you Dawn for sharing these thoughts - and also to all the others on the list who share their experiences and ideas. They provide us with information to share with our staffs and students, even though we don't always respond.
