Des Moines Man Sentenced On Ammunition Charge

DES MOINES, IA - On January 25, 2008 Damarko M. Moore, age 21, of Des Moines, Iowa, was sentenced to a term of 46 months imprisonment for being a felon in possession of ammunition, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States Chief District Judge Robert W. Pratt also ordered Moore to serve a three-year term of supervised release, and imposed an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.


On September 21, 2007, Moore entered a plea of guilty to the felon in possession of ammunition charge. At the time of his plea, Braden stipulated that on December 13, 2006 he was a felon who possessed ammunition.


This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorneys Office for the Southern District of Iowa. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Des Moines, Iowa Police Department.
