ALIEN SENTENCED AFTER ILLEGAL RE-ENTRY

OLGA MARINA CABRERA OCHOA, age 29, a resident of Honduras, was sentenced by Judge Sarah S. Vance to three (3) months confinement and one year of supervised release with credit for time served, after pleading guilty to illegal re-entry by an alien previously deported, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.

According to court documents, on October 7, 2007, OLGA MARINA CABRERA OCHOA, an alien who had previously been removed and deported from the United States, was knowingly and unlawfully found in the United States within the Eastern District of Louisiana, without have applied to the Attorney General of the United States or his designated successor, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security for re-admission to the United States.

OLGA MARINA CABRERA OCHOA, will be deported to Honduras after her release from confinement.

The case was investigated by the U. S. Border Patrol. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney W. Scott Laragy.
