Agency Information Collection Activities: Submission to OMB for 
Reinstatement, Without Change, of a Previously Approved Collection; 
Comment Request

AGENCY: National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

ACTION: Request for comment.

SUMMARY: The NCUA intends to submit the following information 
collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and 
clearance under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, 44 
U.S.C. chapter 35). This information collection is published to obtain 
comments from the public.

DATES: Comments will be accepted until September 2, 2004.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Proposal for the following collection of 
information:
    Title: Designation of Low Income Status.
    OMB Number: 3133-0117.
    Form Number: None.
    Type of Review: Reinstatement, without change, of a previously 
approved collection for which approval has expired.
    Description: Under section 107(6) of the Federal Credit Union Act, 
12 U.S.C. 1757(6), and section 701.34 of NCUA Regulations, 12 CFR 
701.34, credit unions that serve predominantly low-income members can 
accept nonmember share accounts from any source if the credit union 
obtains a low income designation from NCUA.
    Respondents: Certain credit unions that serve predominantly low 
income members.
    Estimated No. of Respondents/Recordkeepers: 15.
    Estimated Burden Hours Per Response: 15 hours.
    Frequency of Response: Recordkeeping and other, once.
    Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 225 hours.
    Estimated Total Annual Cost: $3,600.00.
