Pct. 3 Headquarters in Maple Valley

Precinct 3

DeputyPrecinct Three covers a geographical area of approximately 700 square miles. Interstate 90 is the northern boundary for the precinct, and the cities of Renton, Kent, and Auburn border the western side of the precinct. The eastern boundary extends into the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, and the southern boundary ends at the Pierce County line. Precinct Three is also responsible for a large unincorporated area between the eastside of Interstate 5 (Federal Way) and the western boundaries of Kent and Auburn. Precinct Three facilities are located in the City of Maple Valley but do not share facilities with the City of Maple Valley Police Department.

The cities of Covington, Maple Valley and Newcastle, the Town of Beaux Arts Village, and the Muckleshoot Tribal Police hold contracts for police services with the King County Sheriff’s Office. Precinct Three provides school resource officers to the Auburn, Issaquah, Renton, and Tahoma school districts and the Muckleshoot Tribal School.

The precinct offers four community storefronts at Cascade Homes, Fairwood, Four Creeks, and Lake Dolloff to serve our residents’ needs. With the exception of Lake Dolloff, a deputy is assigned to and works in the storefront area, although the deputy may not maintain regular office hours. Volunteers also assist in storefront activities.
