Get Involved:  Police Volunteers

Are you interested in helping to make Shoreline a safe place to live and work? If so, think about becoming a police volunteer and a vital part of Shoreline’s Community Oriented Policing Team. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of four hours per week, attend the Citizen’s Academy, and have a background check.

Some of the activities volunteers assist with include victim call backs, court reminder calls, false alarm tracking and citations, vacation house checks, community projects and events, pet licensing, neighborhood crime prevention surveys, operation ID, Block Watch, and police activity maps. Interested residents can check the city website for more information about becoming a police volunteer.
