Administration

This web page is the gateway to documents related to the administration of the Public Health Program (PHP). A mix of approximately 20 Commissioned Corps Officers of the United States Public Health Service and National Park Service Park Sanitarians comprise the staff of the PHP. Although the staff is quite small, the responsibilities are enormous. These personnel are responsible for public health programs that impact over 300 million visitors annually to approximately 426 National Parks of varying sizes and complexities located throughout the United States and its territories.

For those who might be interested in a definition and decription of public health, the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) web site maintains a brief excerpt entitled; What is Public Health?
