BLM 2002 National Public Lands Day Sites

People who love the outdoors will have a great opportunity to improve our nation's
Volunteers help build a natural erosion control structure at Pohick Bay Regional Park in Fairfax County, Virginia, sponsored by BLM's Eastern States office and the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority.
public lands on National Public Lands Day (NPLD), September 28, 2002. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), one of NPLD's nine Federal partners, will sponsor volunteers to undertake tasks ranging from protection of archaeological resources to restoration of trails.

In 2002, BLM will sponsor more than 75 events on public lands in 19 states. Some of these will be held earlier or later in the year because of weather constraints or conflicting commitments. See the table below for the complete listing of BLM-sponsored sites.
