U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, R-10, will give the keynote address at Winnetka's Veterans Day ceremony tomorrow.
The Friday ceremony begins at 5 p.m. with a candle lighting at the Winnetka Village Green, near Elm and Chestnut streets.
Kirk, a New Trier High School graduate, is a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer and served in conflicts in Iraq, Haiti and Bosnia, a release from the Veterans of Foreign Wars' New Trier Post 4831 said.
The ceremony will adjourn to the Winnetka Woman's Club, 485 Maple St. for refreshments. |
