Getting There

By Plane
The nearest commercial airport is located in Flagstaff, Arizona.

By Car
Leave I-40 at Exit 204, 7.5 miles (12 km) east of Flagstaff; drive south 3 miles (5 km) to the canyon rim. Warning: Tight turn-around in parking area for towed vehicles; 40 feet (12 meters) maximum length is recommended.

Public Transportation
None. Check with the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau for commercial tour services.

Willa Cather (1873-1947) is best known for her novels My Antonia and Death Comes for the Archbishop. She also wrote Song of the Lark, set at what is now Walnut Canyon National Monument.
