Phone:631-344-7778 Mircea CotletSoft/Bio NanomaterialsMircea Cotlet is a staff scientist in the Biological and Soft Nanomaterials team in the Center for functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Laboratory. His current research interests are in the use of ultrasensitive microscopy methods for biological and material science studies, in particular energy and electron transfer. Mircea received his PhD degree in Physical Chemistry at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium in 2002. Between 2003-2005, he has been a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department at Harvard University and a Director’s fellow in the Bioscience Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. In 2006 he became a staff scientist in the Chemistry Department at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico working on single molecule protein folding and biodetection. Mircea has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and serves in the editorial board of several peer-reviewed chemistry journals. Education:
