The Utah Attorney General's Office is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to step in to fix a ruling that could halt criminal trials and set defendants free. The friend of the court (amicus) brief authored by the Utah Attorney General's Office and signed by the attorneys general of 38 states asks the high court to clarify the parameters of the right to a speedy trial.

Daily from Dec. 3 to Dec. 8 starting at 9 p.m. westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.  At 10 p.m. the freeway will close and open at 5:30 a.m. the next day; except on Dec. 6 and 7 when the freeway will open at 8 a.m.
