Family Centered Education California has field tested and pilot tested a Family Centered Education (FCE) approach as part of their overall commitment to revitalizing nutrition education using a learner centered approach. FCE is an education approach that promotes the parent as the first teacher for the child and the group education sessions are designed for participation by parents and children together. |

Together Approach The Learn Together Approach was developed by Michigan and is a facilitative-style adult learning approach. Instead of the classroom, lecture-style methods, the Learn Together Approach focuses on participants and promotes a comfortable learning environment using the facilitated group discussion method. Learn Together Approach is taught in a train-the-trainer format, so each attendee can become a future trainer. |
