Community Media Productions, Inc.

The mission of the Community Media Productions is to produce and distribute educational media productions. Community Media Productions Inc. was founded in 1981. Two of their productions, "Union Maids" and "Seeing Red," have been nominated for Academy Awards.

Partnership Activities

Community Media Productions Inc. produced a documentary titled A Lion in the House.* Filming began in 1997, covering five families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds who are affected by childhood hematological cancers. The purpose of this documentary is to increase awareness and knowledge of childhood hematological cancers; increase awareness of support services for children with cancer and their families; reduce the psychosocial stress on children with cancer; and enroll survivors of childhood cancers in long-term follow-up programs.
